Differences Between DDR4 and DDR5

1. Speed and Bandwidth

DDR4 and DDR5 have different pin layouts, making them incompatible with each other. A DDR4-supported motherboard cannot run DDR5 modules, and vice versa. Users looking to upgrade to DDR5 must ensure they have a compatible processor and motherboard.
